Terms of Use
Effective date: 2 October 2026
1. Scope
These terms govern the use of the ibbadah mobile app (the "app"), developed by Eray Altıntaş. By downloading or using the app you accept these terms. If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple's Standard License Agreement (EULA) also applies together with these terms; for an app downloaded from the App Store, if these terms conflict with Apple's Standard License Agreement, Apple's agreement prevails. Personal data is covered in the Privacy Policy. If the Turkish and English versions differ, the Turkish version prevails.
2. Licence
You receive a non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. Bulk copying, redistributing or selling the app's content, or using the app to harm others, is not permitted.
3. ibbadah Premium
The app's core features are free. ibbadah Premium is an optional purchase that unlocks additional lessons and features; its scope is shown on the Premium page in the app. The app has no ads; Premium is for extra content, not for removing ads.
Plans and prices
- Monthly: 39.99 TL, an auto-renewing subscription renewed every month.
- Yearly: 299 TL, an auto-renewing subscription renewed every year, with a 7-day free trial for first-time subscribers.
- Lifetime: 599 TL, a one-time payment; not a subscription and never renews. "Lifetime" means for as long as the app is offered in the relevant store, for the store account that made the purchase.
Prices are for Türkiye and include taxes. In other countries the store shows the price in local currency. In every case, the price shown by the store on the purchase screen applies.
Payment and auto-renewal
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase.
- On the App Store: a subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- On Google Play: a subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled before the renewal date; you can cancel at any time until then. Your account is charged for renewal at the start of the new period.
- If the price changes, the store notifies you in advance under its own rules and asks for consent where required.
Free trial
Unless cancelled, the 7-day free trial of the yearly plan converts into a paid yearly subscription and 299 TL is charged. To avoid the charge, cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends on the App Store, or at any time before it ends on Google Play. If you buy a paid subscription during the trial, any unused portion of the trial is forfeited. The trial is available once per store account.
Cancelling and managing
- iPhone: Settings > [your name] > Subscriptions > ibbadah.
- Android: Google Play Store > profile icon > Payments & subscriptions > Subscriptions > ibbadah.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period; Premium stays active until then. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
Restoring purchases
There are no accounts, so your purchase is tied to your store account. On a new device signed in with the same Apple Account or Google account, tap "Satın alımları geri yükle" (Restore purchases) on the Premium page. Purchases do not transfer between Apple and Google.
Refunds
Payments are collected by Apple and Google, so refund requests are handled through their own processes (reportaproblem.apple.com for Apple, order history in the Play Store for Google Play). Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
Changes to Premium
We keep improving the app and its Premium content. If we narrow the scope of Premium in a way that adversely affects existing subscribers, we will announce it in advance.
4. Religious content
- Religious information in lessons, supplications and explanations is prepared with care; sources are cited in the app alongside the relevant content.
- ibbadah is not a fatwa service and does not issue rulings for your personal situation. For questions about your own circumstances, consult a scholar you trust or an official religious authority.
- Translations of verses and supplications convey meaning; they do not replace the original Arabic.
- Prayer times are calculated astronomically and may differ from official calendars by a minute or two. At sensitive times such as the start of the fast and iftar, be cautious and follow the official calendar for your location.
- The qibla compass relies on your device's sensors; magnetic interference can cause deviation. Mosque information comes from OpenStreetMap volunteers and may be incomplete or out of date.
5. Third-party content and services
Mushaf pages and recitations are provided by mp3quran.net, and access depends on that service. Mosque data © OpenStreetMap contributors, used under the ODbL. Apple and Google system services are used for maps and city names. These services are subject to their own terms.
6. Intellectual property
The app's design, software, texts and images belong to Eray Altıntaş or his licensors. Third-party content is used under its own licences, as noted in the app.
7. Liability
We take care that the app works correctly and without interruption, but we cannot guarantee it will be error-free. The app is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect damages arising from its use. This does not limit liability for intent or gross negligence, or your statutory consumer rights, including those under Turkish Consumer Protection Law No. 6502.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. The current version is published on this page and the effective date changes. Continuing to use the app after a material change means you accept the updated terms.
9. Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. Consumers may apply to Consumer Arbitration Committees within the statutory monetary limits and to Consumer Courts above them. If you live in another country, the mandatory consumer protection rules of that country remain unaffected.
